Exhaust Motors
Built for Safety & Longevity
All motors used in Strobic Air exhaust fan applications are located outside the primary exhaust airstream. This placement extends motor life and supports applications that require semi or full explosion-proof configurations. Standard fan packages equipped with Class I, Division 2 motors, which are suitable for environments with occasional exposure to flammable vapors. For more demanding conditions (such as systems exhausting ignitable materials) Class I, Division 1 severe-duty motors are available as an upgrade.
To fully meet Class I, Division 1 compliance for all electrical components, an explosion-proof disconnect switch must be supplied and factory-installed using explosion-proof conduit. Additionally, all motors include bearings with an L-10 life rating of 150,000 hours or more, ensuring long-term durability.
Replacement motors for all Strobic Air systems are available, including both standard and upgraded explosion-proof models, ensuring continued performance and compliance throughout the exhaust system lifespan.
